The troops are sick...again

Well, I finally got to bed last night at 1:30am. I knew that it wasn't to bed for the night though...but I thought I'd attempt a quick shut-eye before the little monster woke up for the first of atleast 4 times. Almost an hour later, he wakes up crying as usual, but when I go get him, I find that he's burning up and shaking. Of course I start to feel pretty freaked and nervous. He's also coughing a very tight croup-like cough. (I know this cough, my 6 year old has had it since 7 months old too...asthma) I knew it was another night in the ER. When I took his temp, it was almost 104. I'm sorry, but none of my 3 boys has ever had a temp that high until now! I was scared...gave him tylenol...gave a breathing treatment, and rolled into the ER at 3:00am. By the time we got into the triage, of course his fever was down 2 or 3 degrees and he was smiling and wiggly. Why do kids make parents look like nutcases? Not fair! But anyways, we were in and out by about 4:30am, and we got home and got back to sleep by 5. Of course we were up early at 8, so it's been quite a tiring day. Now, it's 10:35pm, and Evan has a bad cough, sore throat and his eyes have dark circles. Jesse has been on the couch all night, sore throat...and Drew is okay so far. Now me, I'm without sleep, going all day and night, so it's only a matter of days, or hours until I'm sick....again....

But, on a more positive note, Drew and Evan got to spend the afternoon with our good friends from preschool. Their family has 3 kids almost the same ages, so we've went to our preschool for 3 years together so far. :P What a great family! Their kids are so sweet and they all play together really well! They stopped by our house and the mom, Kristi, offered to take the boys to McDonalds and then back to their house to play. Of course the boys flew up and out of the house!

This evening, I decided it was a heavy duty power grocery shopping night. I got just about everything there is to get for groceries, and then some. It's always nice to refill the house with necessities. :)

They all got baths, meds and hugs and kisses, and off to bed they went! Now I have to work, but I'm pooped. :P
